The School Accountability Report Card (SARC) is updated yearly in February.  This is a legal requirement by the State of California.  The SARC provides a detailed report regarding each school about class size, demographics, test scores, climate and more. The reports are published in the current year for the previous year.

Newport-Mesa Unified School District (N-MUSD) is pleased to announce the recommendation of Mr. Jeff Gall as assistant principal of Costa Mesa Middle School.


Mr. Jeff Gall, who currently serves as interim assistant principal of Costa Mesa Middle School, has more than 25 years of experience in education, with the majority spent within NMUSD. For the past ten years, Mr. Gall has served as the lead high school counselor at Costa Mesa High School, and has established meaningful relationships with both the middle and high school community.


“Jeff has proven to be an effective counselor and site administrator,” Said Costa Mesa High School Principal Jake Haley. “His unique background, experience and knowledge of the campus culture make him an excellent choice for assistant principal.”


In addition to his experience in counseling, Mr. Gall has served in many leadership roles including summer school administrator, assistant principal and principal. He has experience in implementing rigorous, standards based instruction and curriculum. He has developed and implemented master schedules and has effectively managed budgets, staff and compliance matters.


Mr. Gall is known for his enthusiastic, approachable and thoughtful approach to ensuring that students’ maintain a path toward success. He makes it a priority to understand students’ needs and shows a genuine interest in their lives.


Mr. Gall’s appointment is scheduled for approval by the Board of Education at the May 23, 2017 board meeting.
